Our COVID-19 PCR swab tests, rapid antigen tests and finger prick antibody tests provided by Medinow, a CQC registered medical organisation. Tests are conducted on site and are processed in a UK based UKAS and CQC registered laboratory. Medinow is approved by DHSC and UKAS, and is a UK government approved provider for Covid-19 tests.
PCR Test – £135. This includes the swab being taken, fit to fly certificate and courier to the lab.
Same day PCR Test – £225. This includes the swab being taken, fit to fly certificate and courier to the lab.
Rapid antigen Test – £79. This includes the swab being taken and fit to fly certificate if required.
Antibody Test – £79. This is a fingerprick blood sample test. We use the Roche antibody test which is 100% sensitive and 99.8% specific. Please note we can only do this for patients over the age of 18.
The PCR Swab test is the gold standard of coronavirus testing and is used by the majority of countries as an entry requirement with results the next day. This is the best option if travelling abroad and is the most accurate.
The rapid antigen test is up to 97% accurate and you will receive results at the latest by the next day but usually the same day as the test being taken. This is a good option if visiting elderly relatives or family but the PCR is still more accurate. We use the SD Biosensor SARS-CoV-2 Rapid Antigen Test and it is on the approved list for countries accepting rapid tests.
PCR Test – By the end of the next day. We have a courier which goes to the lab at 4pm every day. So for example, if you did a test on Monday before 4pm you will receive the results by Tuesday night. The lab is open and processing samples 24/7.
Same day PCR Test – Within 6 hours.
Rapid Antigen Test – A maximum of 24 hours but more than likely earlier.
Antibody Test – Within 48 hours of the laboratory receiving the sample. We have a courier which goes to the lab at 4pm every day.
